Weekend in Pocahontas!

This weekend was Father’s day and also the weekend that we celebrated my Uncle Leo and Aunt Abi’s 25th anniversary.  Mom, Dad, Mason and I drove to Pocahontas and took some pictures of my Grandparent’s house and met their baby calf.  We then partied at Leo and Abi’s and Mason had a blast swimming with everyone.

Here’s my grandparent’s house

Chuck E Cheese!

For $3, Josh and I were able to entertain Mason at Chuck E Cheese for about an hour and a half.  We tried to start off in the toddler section, but Mason wanted to venture out to the bigger kids stuff!

A 3 day weekend

I got overstaffed on Friday so I wanted to do something fun with Mason for the day.  I soon discovered that any outside activity would be difficult with a camera and a toddler learning to walk.  We went to Lakewood Village and played near the fountain and then shopped at the mall for a bit.  Later that day we played at the playground while Daddy was at the driving range.

We went to the zoo today and saw our favorite animal: The Tiger.  Mason and Josh had to peek over the ledge to get a good glimpse of the tiger.  Mason had a great time chasing birds, watching monkies and riding the train.

Steven and Candace’s Wedding

Yesterday, Steven and Candace got married at the Dam Site in Heber Springs.  It was so beautiful!  Of course, I had my camera out taking tons of shots!  I got a lot of good ones, but couldn’t figure out why some of my pics of the rocks and waterfalls weren’t very colorful.  Ahhh, I had completely forgotten to change my modes!  This is lesson #2!!  At William’s graduation I learned lesson #1: not to leave your camera bag and extra lens in the car!  I took that to heart and brought everything to the wedding and used it all!  Now I will have to learn from lesson #2: pay attention to your modes and what you are trying to get pictures of.

Here is my favorite picture of all and I didn’t even take it!  Ricky took it of us!

This shot was an accident!  I was so tired that I thought I had given up on taking anymore pictures.  I couldn’t resist so I grabbed my camera and from where I was sitting just shot it!
