Branson, MO

We took a quick trip to Branson this weekend with our friends and neighbors John and Lindsay. We had a lot of fun, beginning with the Dixie Stampede! We caught the 3pm show because the later times were sold out. There was pre-show entertainment that included an awesome juggler. We were then directed to the main event arena and had to eat with our hands...we had a whole small chicken, veggie soup and a biscuit, pork loin, potato, and corn on the cob. We watched horses and people doing tricks on them, longhorns, people racing ostriches, piglet races...it was sooo funny and sooo much fun!! We couldn't take pictures inside but here is one of the horses smiling for us and the other is Lindsay and me at a dinosaur exhibit/haunted house...what a combo, huh?

We all went shopping afterwards and then ate at this little dessert diner. As we were getting up to leave it started pouring down rain so we decided to head back to the hotel and go swimming in the INDOOR pool, but they had shut that down due to the rain...hmmmm?!?!?!

The next day was Silver Dollar City! I had not been there in a long time and Josh had NEVER been there. John and Lindsay had been several times so they knew how to get around the park. We went through many little shops and Lindsay and I dubbed ourselves the hat queens!

Lindsay and I rode all the rollercoasters and the PowderKeg was by far our favorite...very very fast! We also went on a water ride that completely soaked us! We ate BBQ for lunch and had our pictures taken with some of the "locals"

And, of course we could not forget old Roscoe...we got him a "skunk" from the mall and when we got home he had that thing tore up before we went to bed!
